THREE Bristol Youth Cricket League representative sides enjoyed a clean sweep in their matches.
An impressive 79 from Twyford House regular Dominic Blake helped the under-17s reach 160-3 and secure a seven-wicket victory over Winterbour ne.
Earlier, Bedminster bowler Tom Pugsley’s 3-10 had helped BYCL bowl Winterbourne out for 157.
Angus More O’Ferrell (Shirehampton) and Adam Campbell (Twyford House) were in devastating form with the ball as the under-15s completed a six-wicket success over Chipping Sodbury.
Campbell claimed 4-12 and More O’Ferrell took 2-11 as Chipping Sodbury were dismissed for 157.
More O’Ferrell made 24 during the chase, which also saw impressive contributions from Stapleton’s Callum Wallis (43), Frenchay’s Matt Taylor (40no) and Bitton’s Olly Fowler (24).
Portishead batsman Guy Sackett smashed 62 for the under-13s, as they raced to 269-7 in their clash with Winterbour ne.
Guy Sackett (Old Bristolians/ Westbury) made 59, while there were other useful contributions from Bedminster’s Patrick Anderson (34no) and Almondsbury’s Sam Robertson (32). Winterbourne were bowled out for 166 to secure a 103-run success.
Sam Warner made 24 in a losing cause as Coalpit Heath A failed to chase down the 160 they had been set by St Fagans in the NatWest Under-15 National Cup regional final.
Coalpit Heath could reach only 87-8 in their innings to finish on the end of a 73-run reverse.
Hambrook moved into the semi-finals of the Joe Roden Under-15 League Championship tournament with victory over Bedminster.
Josh Hull hit 55 to help Hambrook to 126-9 and Bedminster replied with 114-6. Winterbourne A and Bristol West Indians will contest the final of the South West Glass Under-17 Knockout Cup after winning their respective semi-finals.
Sam Bracey (41) and George Harris (31no) top-scored for Winterbourne (90-4) as they surpassed the 87 made by Bristol.
Bristol West Indians (120-2) enjoyed an eight-wicket success over Thornbury (116-5).
Zacv Taquiri and Chris Shine decimated the Almondsbury batting to help book Downend a place in the Frank Benner Under-13 Knockout Cup final.
Taquiri claimed 4-11 and Shine took 3-8 as Almondsbury were restricted to 95. Downend got 97-7 in reply to win by three wickets.
Shine was in fine form as Downend also progressed to the final four of the Les Hodge League Championship tournament.
Shine hit 55 to help Downend reach 164-5 in their quarter-final clash with Whitchurch
